So far it seems that Timken wants you to have only information that makes them look good. I encourage you to press for answers and ask alot of questions.

 

They can only tell you that you have a voice, its the open door policy they brag about. They will tell you that the UAW can't guarantee you anything. And there are no guarantees. They will tell you that it will cost you money. It does, 2 hours wages per month which is tax deductable.

 

Did Timken ask you if you wanted to go five years without a raise?

 

Did Timken consult you on the wage scale?

 

Did Timken ask if you really wanted the annual savings plan?

 

Did Timken ask if you would like to keep the 30 & out retirement?

 

Did Timken get your oppinion on the health care plans or cost to you?

 

If the UAW doesn't get in do you expect Timken to ask you anything in the future?
